Lawrence P. Guidry, Jr., age 77 and a resident of New Orleans, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011.
He was a 1952 graduate of Fortier High School and was a former employee of Southern Pacific Transport.
Mr. Guidry is preceded in death by parents, Lawrence, Sr. & Esther Guidry; his wife, Marietta Ladner Guidry; and two brothers, Donald Guidry and Richard Guidry.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence ""Larry"" Guidry, III of New Orleans; his sister-in-law and caregiver, Joan Ladner of Pass Christian, MS and his great nephew, Tyler Harris.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 1:00pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rotten Bayou Cemetery in Hancock County, MS.
