Mr. Lawrence Donald ""Donnie"" Breland, Sr., age 74, resident of Lizana, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010.
Mr. Breland was born to Lawrence N. and Daisy Bell Moran Breland in Riceville. He attended school at Sellers, joined the U.S. Marine Corp and was honorably discharged. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and was the owner of Breland Trucking and Construction, where he enjoyed time on the jobsite. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Joppa Shrine Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annie Rose Breland; children, Lawrence ""Larry"" D. Breland, Jr. of Biloxi, Steven M. Breland (Angie) of Lizana, Kevin A. Breland of Lizana, Joey L. Breland (Stacy) of Lizana, Holly Ann Miller (Tom) of Lizana, Mandy L. Breland (Dave Brockmeyer) of Lizana; 9 grandchildren, Chris, Stuart, Ethan, Ryan, Destin, Madison, Haley, John, Emma; and 2 great grandchildren, Brayden and Alex.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North, from 6-8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010, at St. John Catholic Church, downtown Gulfport, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Breland Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
