Mr. Lavert Louis Ladner, age 69, lifelong resident of Pass Christian, earned his wings and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
Mr. Ladner was born to Ora J. Ladner, Sr. and Lena Ladner on February 17, 1941. He was dedicated to his family. Mr. Ladner was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Pass Christian. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending sporting events. His big heart was open to all. He was a dedicated fan of Ole Miss, Pass Christian High Pirates, and the New Orleans Saints.
Mr. Ladner was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Windlyn Ladner; and sister, Leona Cuevas.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 46 years, Elaine Ladner of Pass Christian; three daughters, Cindy (Jon) Repp of Pass Christian, Lisa (Kelly) Harper of Portland, TN, and Sharon (Cory) Blaize of Kiln; grandchildren, Lyndsay Harper, Joshua and Courtney Repp, Cameron, Breanna, and Makayla Blaize; one great grandchild, Donovan; siblings, Geraldine (Wendell) Smith, Vernon (Mary Louise) Ladner, Ora J. (Ginny)Ladner, Jr., Ronnie (Sandy) Ladner, Eddie (Barbara) Ladner, Shelia (Huey, Jr.) Cuevas, Duwayne (Diane) Ladner, and Bruce (Marie) Ladner; brother-in-law, Charles Cuevas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 29, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, where friends may visit from 6-10 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:30 pm.
A procession will leave the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 1:45 pm for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Williams Catholic Church at 2 pm. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
