Mrs. Laurie Womack Pollard, age 88, resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, September 15, 2007, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Pollard, the wife of the late, Brig. Gen. Amos S. Pollard, U.S.A.F. (Retired) and native of Mathiston, MS, was a member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport, the Woodglen Garden Club, and the Symphony Guild. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She had a special love for her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her children, Anthony W. (Jeanie) Pollard of Gulfport, Kimsey T. (Cindy) Pollard of Atlanta, GA, Alan K. (Denise) Pollard of Gulfport; sister, Mavis Womack of Ackerman, MS; grandchildren, Pamela Pollard (Marc) Finch, Michael Pollard, Terrell (Melanie) Pollard, Adam (Tiffani) Pollard, Justin Pollard, Amy Pollard, and Melissa Pollard; great grandchildren, Allison, Caitlin, and Molly Grace Finch, and Christian and Connor Pollard; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007, at Bayou View Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Graveside services wil be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Mathiston.
