Laurence C. Scarpone, Jr., age 85 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Scarpone was a longtime resident of Monaca, PA, a former resident of Ambridge, PA, and a recent resident of Gulfport. He was an avid fisherman, poker player and loved watching sports. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Scarpone was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence & Esther Montagna Scarpone; his wife, Dorothy F. Scarpone; his brothers, Victor Scarpone and Woodrow Scarpone and his sisters, Angela Antolini and Hilda Molchan.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Scarpone of Monaca, PA and Richard (Kaye) Scarpone of Gulfport; his daughter, Nancy (Jim) McDonaugh of Darlington, SC; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and his sister, Evelyn Aquino of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
