Laura Adcock

Laura Dee Lipka Adcock, age 74 of Long Beach, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

She was a New York native and attended Western Kentucky University.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Gabriel Lipka; her mother, Idell Langston Lipka; and her brother-in-law, Joseph J. Clancy.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Adcock; her children, Jeffrey Michael Tonini and Carolyn Leigh Tonini Howell (Jerry); her sister, Caroline Clancy; her grandchildren, Michael Boston Tonini (Micheal) of Orlando, Anthony Michael Tonini of Ocean Springs, and Sydney Lauren Tonini of Ocean Springs; her great grandchild, Carson Tonini of Orlando; brother-in-law, Jack Tonini (Janet) of Louisville, KY; cousins, Marion Douglas of Clinton and Bobette Sandifer Thompson of Brentwood, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

Laura worked many years for Stride Rite and also worked in the computer industry at Comp USA and sold computers on Capitol Hill.  She was a supporting member of the Children’s Orphanage, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and American Cancer Society.

She loved eating Chocolate Chip Cookies and drinking Coca-Cola.

Laura was blessed with her two children, Jeffrey and Kay, three grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, and Sydney, and her great grandson, Carson, all of whom she loved dearly.

Born only eleven months apart, Laura and Carol weren’t just sisters, but best friends who shared many tears and laughs.  Laura had lots of good times with her cousin, Amylou and wonderful friends in Long Beach.

Thank you to Dr. Allison Wall and many other doctors and medical staff who cared for Laura for many years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura’s name to Breast Cancer and American Cancer Society.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service. A reception will follow at The Club House, Townhome Condos, 36 Oak Alley Lane, Long Beach, MS 39560.
