Larry LaRue Kendrick of Gulfport, MS passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the VA Medical Center in Biloxi, MS. He was 80 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LaRoy and Annie Pittman Kendrick; his brothers, James Kendrick, Harold “Snookie” Kendrick and David L. Kendrick; and one sister, Ann Kendrick.
Larry is survived by his wife, Winifred Finn; his children, Ronnie Kendrick (Glenda), Chuck Kendrick (Lee Ann), Donna Tellez, Kimberly Gillett, and William Kendrick (Beccy); step-children, Timmy and Carol; his brother, Ronnie Kendrick (Kathleen); 13 grandchildren, Justin, Brandi, Chuck, Larry, Brandon, Kenny, Chris, Stephanie, Carlos, Jessica, Aaron, Randall, and Stephanie; 11 great-grandchildren, Sylvia, Addison, Aubrey, Penelope, Aaliyah, Elijah, Gianna, Bryan, Emelia, Madison and Ashlyn; 1 great-great-grandchild, Ricky; and his best friend, Art Kuhagen.
Larry was a native of Columbia, MS and was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was nominated to receive the Quilt of Valor. He retired as Chief Engineer and traveled many places during his working career. He was a political and history enthusiast. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside service on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 1:30 pm in the Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS with military honors.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
