Larry Dale Husband, age 58 of the Kiln, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 in Waveland.
Mr. Husband was a graduate of Long Beach High School Class of 1967 where he was a pitcher for the baseball team. He was currently employed with the Hancock County School District as the Transportation Director. He was a former bus driver and receptionist at Hancock High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a former insurance sales representative. Mr. Husband was a Nascar and Jeff Gordan fan. He was of Baptist faith and a member of Shoreline Park Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Husband was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Earnestine Husband and two brothers, Harry and Jimbo Husband.
He is survived by three daughters, Bridget Wilson and her husband, Clark, of Necaise Crossing, Shannon McLaughlin and her husband, Matthew, of Jackson, MS and Shelley Husband of Pass Chrisitan; two sisters, Diane Goodman and husband Marty of Long Beach and Vickie Paige of Riceville; sister in law, Deborah Husband of Long Beach; god child, Junior Husband; three grandchildren, Blake Peterson, Hunter Wilson and Lakyn Wilson of Necaise Crossing; many nieces and nephews and a dear and special friend, Elizabeth Palm aka """"MeeMaw"""" and her son, Douglas.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2007 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. Services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
