Larry Byrd

Mr. Larry Byrd, age 76, of Vancleave, MS, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022, at his residence.

Larry was born November 21, 1945, in Lumberton, Mississippi to Talmadge A. Byrd and Opal Lee Byrd. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. Larry then worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He was a Classic Car enthusiast and an avid motorcyclist and was a member of the Talend Motorcycle Club.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Lee Byrd. He is survived by his loving family and friends who will miss him dearly: his father, Talmadge A. Byrd; his two sons, Jason Matthew Byrd and Jeffrey Thomas Byrd; his sisters, Deborah D. Martin and Donna A. Fitzgerald, and her husband, Charles; and by a host of other family and friends.

Friends are invited to join the Byrd family for visitation and services on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., at Washington Ave., West Jackson County.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Byrd will be laid to rest at a later date at Biloxi National Cemetery. Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County is proudly serving the Byrd family.
