Mr. Larry Earl Burgess, age 54, resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, July 3, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Burgess was born in Dayton, Ohio and was a former resident of Florida. He was a carpenter by trade, and helped construct Epcot Center in Florida and several NASA projects, among many others. He believed in traditional Native American spirituality and followed the """"Path to the Good Red Road."""" His native American name meant, """"Wolf Who Walks with Owl.""""
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Burgess; his parents, Inez Krause and Dallas Burgess; his grandparents, Lena and Earl Calhoun; and his uncles, Jim and Bob Calhoun.
He is survived by his stepfather, Herbert Krause of Crystal River, FL; his sister, Kelly Krause of Gulfport; and his beloved dogs, Dagger and Tama.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
