Delmar LaRoy Wigley, age 81, of Gulfport, passed away on November 23, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delma and Omar Wigley; a brother, Gilbert Wigley; a step-son, Michael Scott Agent; a grandson, Matthew Edward Agent; and his former wife, Bobbie Jean Wigley.
He is survived by his wife, Sherria Wigley; his children, David Wigley, Charlotte Boss (Chuck), Donald LaRoy Wigley (Crystal), Mark Douglas Wigley (Cindy), Alan Agent (Rose), Beth Ware (Jeff), and Josh Agent (Jessie); his siblings, O.T. Wigley, Martha Jane Ellis, Marion Wigley, Bennie Joe Breland, and Roger Dale Breland; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was born in Petal, MS and had been a resident of the coast since 1969. He was the owner and operator of D and L Construction and Wigley Mercantile in Gulfport. He was also known for Uncle Wigley's Beef Jerky. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building things, and racing. He enjoyed being creative and he believed in hard work.
He was a wonderfully kind and caring family man and his friends are too numerous to count. He lived a long full life and left behind a great legacy of a loving family. He will be dearly missed and his memory will be carried on by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, from 12 pm - 2 pm at Michael Memorial Baptist Church, 15053 John Clark Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the church. Interment will be in Finley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rescue 100 c/o Michael Memorial Baptist Church.
