Lamerlas Catherine White

Lamerlas Catherine Berryman White, 93, of Biloxi, MS passed away on March 5th, 2023. Lamerlas, or as most called her Nannie, was born on March 18th, 1929 to Edgar “Buck” and Lucille Berryman in Wellington, Texas. She has one sister, Sue.

After high school and going to beauty college, she worked as a beautician where she met the mother of her soon to be husband, Wallace White. They wrote letters to each other, met and a year later were married in 1952. Lamerlas and Wallace went on to have 4 children, Brenda, Garry, Mike, and Rhonda. They were married for 48 years.

Lamerlas loved to serve the Lord. She was kind and gentle to everyone she met, and she never met a stranger. She worked as a door greeter at Walmart for over 10 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wallace White, son Mike White and his wife Patty, brother in laws Clark Andrews, John and Lee White, and grandson Rhett White.

Remembered by, sister Sue Andrews and family, daughters Rhonda and Brenda, son Garry/Shirley, sister in law Barbara/Roy. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews: Michael, Hayley/Timothy, Eric, Alyvia, Owen, Brookelyn and Hayes, Michelle/James, Tj, Kendall, Lamerlas, Russell/Julia, Hayden and Oakley, Brandon, Dylan, Andrew and Zayden, Chris, Analiah, Justin/Danielle, Reid and Andrew, Nick, Lynette, Kirk/Laurie, Rocky/Vivian, John and Deb, Jason/Melody, Jas and Aspen, Hayden, Mykala, Kara and Gunner, Scott, Taylor, Hayden, Amy/Jody, Cody, Josh/Tiffany and Aubree. And many, many friends.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS, with the visitation for family and friends starting at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
