Lamar L. Ladner, 70, of White Cypress, passed on to a life with Jesus on Saturday, January 9, 2010.
He was a devoted and loving husband and father. Lamar was also a faithful member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Perkinston. In addition, he was an avid outdoor sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Lamar is preceded in death by his parents Alton and Elizabeth aÌ‚â‚Å“Baby Dollâ₝ Ladner; Grandparents Arthur and Azeline Ladner and Dasier and Annie Moran.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, his beloved wife of 43 years, Gwen Ladner; his daughter Vicki Williams (Jarred); his son Matthew Ladner (Jenna); his grandson Gradon Isaiah Ladner; brothers Cordell Ladner (Rebecca); Gerald Ladner (Roxanne); sisters Inez Necaise; Henrietta Niolet (Wilson); Veronica Ladner; sisters-in-law Wanda Necaise (Raymond); Linda McKay (McCoy); godchildren Charmaine Cuevas, Madonna Peterson, Mark Garriga, Joey Ladner, Melissa McKay, Jerad Ladner, Shayla Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Perkinston, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Standard Sand Hill Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in his name.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln-DeLisle Road in Pass Christian, is in charge of arrangments.
