Lacy Cuevas, Jr.

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, our beloved Daddy, Mr. Lacy Joseph “LJ” Cuevas, Jr. age 72 of Kiln, MS went to meet his eternal Savior with everlasting peace and happiness in God’s glorious kingdom.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Lacy Joseph “Red” Cuevas, Sr and Mrs. Lois Ladner Cuevas.

He is survived by his daughter, Gina Cospelich (Jake) of Diamondhead, MS; son, Kacey Cuevas (Mandy) of Kiln, Ms; grandson, Zachary Luke Cospelich of Diamondhead, MS, sister, Beverly Ladner (Curtis) of Pass Christian, MS; and godmother, Mrs. Jeanette Ladner of Pass Christian, MS who he thought the world of.

“Poppy” as he was called, loved yardwork and was always on his tractor mowing his lawn, he liked to cook and try new things in his air fryer, and his sugar free cakes were good too. He loved the holidays, especially when it was time for the fireworks with his only grandson, Zachary as he had the bonfire waiting for him. He was a proud grandfather and attended many of Zach’s school events. He loved his church family and Pastor Rickey at Victory Baptist Church. He talked about them often as he did about his relationship with the Lord.

Our Daddy was a good man who worked hard for us when we were young, and he was always there in our times of need since. Until we see you again Daddy we miss you already, but we know that you are in Heaven… no more sickness… We Love you Gina and Kacey.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 am from Victory Baptist Church, 25310 Hwy. 603. Kiln, MS; with the visitation beginning at 9:00am until service time at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
