Kyle Joseph Matis, age 72, of Biloxi, passed away on December 25, 2023.
Kyle was a native of Houma, LA and graduated from Terrebonne High School. He was in the U.S. Airforce from 1969 until 1995 and retired after 20 years, 2 months, and 2 days of service as a TSgt. Kyle had a love for football, bike riding, weightlifting, and whiskey.
Kyle was preceded in death by his son, Joed Michael Matis, his father, Joseph Arthur Matis; his mother, Velma Marie Matis; his wife, Margo Matis; and his sister, Susan Matis. He is survived by his children, Jair Michael (Jessica) Matis, and Stacie Ann (Brian) Matis Brunet; his siblings, Thane Thomas Matis, Jody Marie Matis Eskine, and Joey Arthur Matis; his grandchildren, Meghan Brunet (Layne) Moreau, Alexandra Tate Brunet, and Collin Jeffery Matis; and his former spouse, Audrey Ann Matis Fletcher.
Pallbearers will be Jair Matis, Thane Matis, Brian Brunet, Kelly Dufrene, Scott Jones, and Joey Matis.
The visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS
