Ms. Kimberly Cheatham McHenry, age 50, of Biloxi, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
Kim was a teacher in the Harrison and Jackson County schools for fifteen years. She also worked at the casino in Waveland until becoming ill.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Cheatham; her grandparents, Jim Lewis, Louella Lewis, Gordon Middleton, and June Middleton.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Cheatham; her daughter, Kyla McHenry; son, Adam McHenry; sister, Pat Cheatham, brother, Bill Cheatham, and his wife Stephanie, and their children, Rachael Helmke, Jackson Helmke, and Reese Olivia Helmke, Jamie Cheatham, Nathan Cheatham, Nicholas Cheatham; and many aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly.
Kim was a good person who loved everyone. She was always smiling and tried to make all around her happy. She had many friends who loved her. She especially loved her family, who she spent a lot of time with. She adored her sister Pat, who was her best friend. She also loved her mother dearly, and her big brother Bill. But most of all she loved and adored her children, and always wanted the very best for them. She wanted them to have the finest education she and her family could provide for them.
Kim graduated from Biloxi High School and entered MS Gulf Coast Junior College for two years, and then transferred to USM where she received her BS and MS degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. She also played the clarinet from Junior high school through college. She was in the symphony band, and was also on the modeling squad. Kim was in the Junior MS pageant and was chosen Miss Congeniality by all the girls in the pageant.
Funeral services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you send donations to the Bethel Free Health Clinic, 1650 Carroll Drive, Biloxi, MS 39531. (228) 594-3640.
