Mr. Kermit Joseph Ladner, age 64, resident of the Dedeaux Community, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011.
Mr. Ladner was born to Ollis and Gracie Cuevas Ladner in the Dedeaux Community in 1947, where he lived his whole life. He retired from Northrup Grumman Ship Systems after 38 years as a sheet metal mechanic. One of his biggest accomplishments was being recognized as Employee of the Month in July of 2004. He was a very simple person, enjoying the the simple things in life. He loved his family and was devoted to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty C. Ladner; children, Kendrick Ladner (Alicia) of Gonzales, LA, and Kandice Corr (Keith) of Dedeaux; siblings, Meretta Babin (Phillip) of Pineville, Rea Lea Arcana (Harry Babin) of Dedeaux, Kenny Ladner (Memory) of Dedeaux, Janice Seagren (Wayne) of Dedeaux, Joey Ladner (Reba) of Dedeaux, Kendall Ladner (Cindy) of Dedeaux; three grandchildren, Cooper Corr, Tatum Ladner, and Kale Ladner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will follow at Alphonse Malley Cemetery.
