Kenneth William Saxon, age 64, of Long Beach, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rubye Smith Saxon.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Margaret "Peg" Saxon; his father, D. William Saxon; his daughter, Kisha (Charles) Godfrey; his granddaughter, Amelia Godfrey; his grandson, Alex Godfrey; his sisters, Scharlotte Saxon, Stephanie (Allen) Purvis, and Deborah (Tony) Telemeco; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken loved music and especially enjoyed singing and playing his acoustic guitars. He was an avid "griller" and "smoker" and was always looking for ways to improve his techniques. He took pride in his service with the United States Air Force and of being presented with the Air Force Commendation Medal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Gulfport, on Friday, July 5, 2019, at 10:00am. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the mass. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.
