Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Saucier

Kenneth ""Kenny"" Wayne Saucier, age 62 and a resident of Saucier, died on Monday, April 23, 2012, in Saucier.
Kenny was born on May 6, 1949, in Gulfport, and was raised on Diamond Road in Saucier and enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to affectionately give nicknames to those closest to him. Hunting, fishing and spending time with his three grandchildren: Gavin (7), Ty (6) and Kaylee (5), was the highlight of his day. He loved to be in the kitchen with his sister, Sissy, helping prepare for family get-togethers. His specialty for any family gathering was to build a fire outdoors and cook an iron pot full of beans. Kenny, Sissy, and Randall were always getting together for a celebration, cookout or just a morning cup of coffee. Kenny was a graduate of Harrison Central High School and was a retired crane operator for Trans World Drilling.
Kenny is joined in death by his wife of 33 years, Kay Saucier and a son, Matt Saucier, 29.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Qunel and Iris Diamond Saucier; his paternal grandparents, Benson and Madie Saucier and maternal grandparents, Robert ""Bob"" and Pinkie Diamond.
Kenny is survived by his oldest son, Marty Dwayne Saucier, his sister, Beverly ""Sissy"" Weekley (Joey) and a brother, Randall Saucier (Julie), and his three grandchildren, all of Saucier. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012, from 6pm-9pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 10am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Diamond Cemetery in Saucier.
