Kenneth Rankin

Kenneth E. Rankin, 80, of Diamondhead, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Tulane Medical Center Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Teresa and his parents. He is survived by his only sister, Elmorine McKiernan of Omaha, Nebraska.
Ken was a career Air Force officer who retired as a Lt. Col. He served several tours of duty in Vietnam as a bomber and helicopter pilot. He was active locally in community affairs and served on various boards of directors. He was an elder in the Diamondhead Community Church. He owned a locksmith business in Diamondhead for several years. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing and being on the water.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Diamondhead Community Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diamondhead Community Church or the local VFW.
