Kenneth Moody

Kenneth O’Neal Moody, age 57 of Vancleave, MS passed away in Ocean Springs, MS, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, leaving his children, family, friends and colleagues shocked and heartbroken.

Kenny was born in Greenville, South Carolina and moved to Biloxi as a child.  He is a 1984 graduate of Biloxi High School, he then attended Jeff Davis Community college for two years, but then found his love was being on the road driving his semi- truck.  His career of 25 years could attest to that. If he wasn’t in his truck, he was more than likely out riding his Harley or spending time with his children and the grandchildren he so adored.  Kenny loved holidays, cookouts, riding with friends, LSU and Saints football, but most of all he loved his family.  He will be remembered for his infectious smile, and his wit.  He could always make you laugh.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth O’Neal Moody and Geraldine Joyce Franko Moody; his sister, Debra Jean Courier; and his granddaughter, Mackenzie Joyce Moody.

Left to cherish each memory are his children, Brittany Moody Jones (Demetrius), Brandi Moody, Bryce Moody (Loren), Blake Moody; his sister, Chara Moody Brock and her husband Rickey; his 13 grandchildren, Draven, Caysen, Emily, Peyten, JJ, Mercedes, Ellen, Rhylie, Demi, Bryce, Bentley, Kylie and Daylan; his 3 nephews, Caleb, Wesley, and Drayton; and his cousin, Roxann Johnson and her husband, Doug; numerous relatives, colleagues and dear friends.

Kenny shared a special friendship in the last few years of his life with Wendy Burton, Bobby Taylor and Elizabeth Hamner.  He touched many lives during his time here on earth.  None of our lives will ever be the same. “Your angel wings were ready, but our hearts were not”.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County.  A procession to Biloxi City Cemetery will follow the service where Kenny will be laid to rest in peace.
