Kenneth Charles Hindman, age 91, of Gulfport, MS, entered eternal rest on August 21, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Emmitt and Winnie Hindman and Betsy’s son Johnny Hoffman.
Kenneth is survived by his loving companion of 37 years Betsy Hoffman; his 2 loving sons David (Shannon) Hindman and James (Rhonda) Hindman; Betsy’s children Mike Hoffman, Kathy (Glenn) Mathers. Kenny and Betsy shared 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren that they loved.
He also leaves behind his loyal German Shepherd Lucky
He was a proud United States Marine Sergeant. He served in the Korean war and was awarded the Air medal for being a Gunner on a combat helicopter. He flew and was part of many missions during the war. He was also part of missions that flew over the Chosin Reservoir.
Kenny had a passion for music. He spent many years as a Road Manager for several bands including Brenda Lee and The Tikis. His love for music never wavered. You could always find him listening to the rhythm and blues right up to his last days.
Kenny never met a stranger. He had a special ability to make conversation with anyone. Whether at the grocery store, the soccer field or the doctor’s office. He was always chatting about the Marines or his family. He leaves behind a host of family, friends, and musicians.
