Kenneth Edward Herrmann, age 84, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, July 07, 2010 in Gulfport.
Mr. Herrmann was a native of Newark, NJ and had been a resident of the coast since 1969. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and retired from CE-NATCO in Production Control. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 119, the DAV, the 4th Marine Division Association of WWII, and was a dispatcher for the Orange Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by 3 children, Peter E. Herrmann, Kenneth S. Herrmann and Susan G. O'Malley, and his parents, Edward George and Irma Cullen Herrmann..
He is survived by his wife, Armagene """"Gene"""" Herrmann, Gulfport, his children, Michael G. (Rhonda) Herrmann, and James E. (Bridgett) O'Malley, Christina (Sidney) Austin, and a daughter-in-law, Stella Herrmann, 13 grandchildren and 19 great - grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 pm at The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
