Kenneth E. Ladner, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, in his hometown of Gulfport, Mississippi. He was born on May 18, 1943, to Kenneth and Gertrude Ladner, and was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast, residing in Saucier.
Kenneth led a fulfilling life dedicated to his work and passion for the outdoors. Starting in air conditioning and refrigeration alongside his father, he later ventured into working for an architectural firm, military contracting, and eventually became the owner of his contracting company.
Outside of work, Kenneth found solace in nature as an avid hunter and fisherman. His love for the great outdoors was a testament to his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the world around him.
A man of faith, Kenneth was a regular attendee at Michael Memorial Baptist Church, where he found community and solace in his spiritual beliefs.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Billie Nell Ladner; his son James Daniel Ladner (Elaine); siblings Eric Ladner and Pamela Sevel (Mike); grandchildren Megan Nicole Jones (Daniel) and Anson James Ladner; as well as his niece, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Gertrude Ladner; his son Kenneth E. Ladner Jr., and mother-in-law Bobbie Morris Ladner.
Services to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The visitation will take place at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM followed by a funeral service from 1:30 PM at the same location.
Kenneth will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace as he embarks on his next great adventure surrounded by the beauty he cherished during his time on earth.
