Kendall Jerome Cuevas, age 60 of Woolmarket, passed away at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was a talented CAD designer in the shipbuilding industry. Born on September 2, 1963, in Gulfport Mississippi, Kendall was the beloved son of Virgil and Lydia Cuevas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents, Levander and Elizabeth Cuevas, and Ignace and Alvena Cuevas.
Kendall graduated from St. John High School in Gulfport and furthered his education at Mississippi State University. Kendall loved MSU sports, Nascar, and a range of outdoor activities, including golf, hunting, fishing, and car restoration, which he enjoyed alongside his son Keegan.
A man of unwavering faith, family values, and friendship, Kendall's character was defined by his devotion to his loved ones. His wife of 30 years, Sandra Cuevas, stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family that included their son, Keegan Cuevas. Kendall is also survived by his beloved brothers and sisters-in-law: Kirt and Caroline Cuevas, Keith and Lori Cuevas, Kevin and Stacey Cuevas, Kerwin and Peggy Cuevas and John and Stacey Keegan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. In addition, he leaves behind his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Diane Keegan, as well as a large and loving extended family, including 8 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great-nephews, 6 great-nieces, aunts, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Kendall's warm and inclusive nature touched everyone who knew him. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. His philosophy of "Faith, Family, and Friends" guided his every action, and his kind spirit will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of his acquaintance.
