Keith L. Bing, 79, of Diamondhead, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Bing was a native of Lewiston, Idaho, a former resident of Cloquet, Minnesota and of Coeurd'alene, Idaho. He has been a resident of Diamondhead for the past 11 years.
Mr. Bing was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He played baseball at Lewis-Clark State College, and then played professionally during the 1950's in the Boston Red Sox minor league system. He retired after 35 years from Potlatch Corporation. He was a member of Diamondhead Baptist Church and of the American Legion. He loved boating and was a wonderful man, dearly loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cully and Alta Bing.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbye Bing of Diamondhead; four daughters, Christy Richardson (Don), Karen Bezdicek, Karla Bing, all of Lewiston, Idaho, and Stephanie Schiro (Drew) of Pearl River, Louisiana; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to join the Bing family for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Diamondhead Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Diamondhead Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Memorial Hospital.
