Kayla Cordelia Ladner, age 16, resident of Saucier, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in Diamondhead.
Kayla was born in Gulfport. She enjoyed her life, one day at a time. She loved riding four wheelers and getting muddy, soccer and softball, talking and texting, spending time with friends, swimming (only when she could see her feet in the water,) and dressing up for no reason. She was a VORACIOUS shopper and an untamed free spirit. Everyday was an adventure. In her own words, """"I have plans of being out of the ordinary. I don't know what they are just yet."""" Her generous spirit led her to live her life to please her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Elder James Ladner, Jr.
She is survived by her parents, Stephen J. Ladner and Jena L. Ladner; brother, Chancellor Thompson; maternal grandparents, Nina and James Thompson; paternal grandmother, Helen F. Ladner; and other family; niece, Auna Thompson; uncles, James, Steven, Jonathon, Jackson; aunts, Jessica, Missy, Candice, Penny, Judy; cousins, Cheyenne and Jamie Lee Thompson, Brandon Tremain, T.J. and Shelby Dubuisson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 N., Gulfport, MS, at 11:00 am. Friends may visit two hours prior to services. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
