Kayelyn Gwen Drake, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She was a sophomore at Biloxi High School, passed away suddenly on January 12, 2024. Born on September 15, 2007, in Ocean Springs, MS, Kayelyn brought joy and light into the lives of all who knew her.
Kayelyn was a vibrant young woman with an infectious spirit. She had an incredible love for animals, and her cats Salem and Binx were her babies. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her pets as she always showed kindness to every creature she encountered.
An active and talented individual, Kayelyn enjoyed cheerleading, dancing, painting, and photography. Whether she was cheering or capturing beautiful moments with the lens of a camera, she poured her heart into everything she did. One of Kayelyn's exceptional gifts was her beautiful singing voice that never failed to captivate those fortunate enough to hear it.
Despite her young age, Kayelyn touched the lives of many with her warm smile and genuine care for others. She had an immense love for her family and friends who meant the world to her. Among those who mourn her are her parents Viola Janene and Brandon Lee Carter. Her brothers and sister; Kaden Ryan Drake, Kathryn Nacole Lattimore, Robert Gregg Lattimore, David Anthony Lattimore, Landon Carter, Anthony Kinsman, and Jaydin Harper. Her grandparents Anthony Gregg Drake and Wanda Bangs; her aunts and uncles Cheyanne Nacole Parker, Tony Drake, Renee Burks, Denise Bangs, Bruce Bangs, Debbie Bustin, and Jon and Rachel Mullen.
