Katie Cuevas Smith, age 90, resident of Perkinston, MS, died, Sunday, December 10, 2006 in Perkinston.
Mrs. Smith was born August 23, 1916 in Harrison County and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her father, Claiborne Cuevas; mother, Artemise Ladner-Cuevas; husband, Harvey Smith; three sisters, Zelma Lois Wedgeworth, Helena Paige and Helen Cuevas; one brother, Wilson Cuevas and a grandson, Carey Lynn Shaw.
Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, JD Shaw and Jeffery Shaw of Crane Creek and Milton Shaw of International Falls, MN; daughters, Betty Farmer of Gulfport, Gloria Wilson and Janis Dedeaux both of Poplarville, Cecelia """"Dot"""" Shaw of Riceville; twenty two grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Three Rivers Road Chapel. Services are Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at John Gaston Shaw Cemetery on Tally Shaw Road.
