Kathy Riggs Shelton, age 54 of Biloxi, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Les Shelton.
Kathy is survived by her parents, Roy and Rebecca Riggs of Greensboro, NC; her brother, Bill Riggs of Greensboro; her stepdaughter, Kara Pitts (Steve); her stepson, Ben Shelton (Rebecca); and her five step grandchildren.
Kathy was born on October 16, 1964 in Greensboro, North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a BA in Wildlife Management and from Mississippi State University with her Master's degree in Wildlife Sciences. Kathy was a member of the Mississippi Bat Working Group (https://msbats.org). She loved animals of all kinds her entrie life. And she always enjoyed being able to go back home to North Carolina to visit family and to fish.
Friends are invited to join the family for the funeral service at 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 25, 2019, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation immediately following the service until 5:30 PM.
