Kathy S. Richter

Kathy S. Richter, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 66. Born on November 13, 1957, in Tennessee, Kathy was a long-time native and resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia, before relocating to Gulfport, MS.

Kathy pursued her passion for healthcare, earning an associate degree from Gwinnett Technical College. She made significant contributions to the medical field as an X-ray Technician and CT Technologist, including notable years of service at Northside Hospital. Kathy was a proud member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, reflecting her commitment to excellence in her profession.

In her personal life, Kathy cherished her family dearly. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Michael Steven Richter; her father, Elmo Willis Gentry; sons Alan Michael Richter and Christopher William Richter (Tiffany); sister Angel Gentry Barton (Rick); grandchildren Peyton Elliot Richter, Olivia Annette Richter, and Autumn Hendrickson; great-grandchild Aurora Hendrickson; nephew Ryan Gentry; and other loving family members and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Kathryn Gentry.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kathy was known for her creative spirit and enjoyed hobbies such as baking and crafting. She brought joy and warmth into the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed.

A memorial gathering in honor of Kathy S. Richter will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM to celebrate her remarkable life and the enduring love she shared with her family and community.
