Kathryn Lindquist

Kathryn Madeline Lindquist (b. April 8, 1953) age 68, of the Bronx, NY, Freehold, NJ and Diamondhead, MS passed away Thursday August 5th, 2021 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

She will be missed by her family and friends in these communities and will be remembered as warm and had the ability to turn a stranger into a friend.

Kathy met and fell in love with her husband, Rich at the beach in Belmar, NJ, and after moving from the Bronx, raised her family at the Jersey Shore. Before moving to Diamondhead in 2016, Kathy spent her career as an elementary school educator in Freehold, NJ. Kathy also enjoyed going camping, skiing, playing tennis and was an avid theater goer.

Kathy was involved in many community groups including women’s club, newcomers club, P.E.O, numerous book clubs and card groups. She would jump at the opportunity to try new things, which in recent years led to taking up golf and serving as royalty in the Krewe of Diamondhead.

Kathy’s immediate family includes her husband, Rich Lindquist of Diamondhead, MS; her brother, Joseph LaMorte of New York, NY; her son, Jonathan Lindquist of New Orleans, LA; her daughter, Kristin Lindquist of Diamondhead, MS; and her grandchildren, Landon, age 6 and Maddie, age 5.
