Kathleen White

Kathleen Anne Williams White, age 73 of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin C. Williams; her mother, Anne C. Williams; her brother, Gary Williams; and her grandson, Tyler Kenneth Payne.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce Laurin White; her daughter, Carol Payne (Ken) of Gulfport, MS; her son, Scott White (Shari) of Madison, MS; her grandsons, Cooper Payne and Tanner White; her granddaughters, Cara Payne, Allyson White, Abbigail White, Annaleigh White, and Heather Payne; her great grandchildren, Vivienne Kathleen Payne and Kenneth Asa Payne; her in-laws, Hal White (Susan) and Phillip White (Debra); her cousins, Ronnie Keller and Glenn Keller.
Kathy and Bruce met as young teenagers while living in New Orleans, Louisiana. They married November 25, 1967 and moved to Gulfport in 1969. They were married for 53 years.
She was known throughout her neighborhood as a great babysitter and loved having children in her home. Even after Kathy retired from babysitting, former "kids" would stop by and see her on a regular basis. She enjoyed eating at local restaurants and looked forward to Saturday nights eating with her husband, Bruce, her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ken, and the grandkids. She enjoyed visits from her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Shari, and their three children, Abbi, Anna, and Tanner. She loved all of her grandchildren, and their daily presence in her home made her happy for days afterwards.
Kathy enjoyed vacations to Gatlinburg and spending time riding through the mountains, looking for bears. While on vacation, she would collect mementos from her time in the mountains to remind her of the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
She was a loving wife, mother, and a doting grandmother who adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
