Kathleen Ann Summers, age 50, resident of Lizana, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2008, in Lizana.
Mrs. Summers was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of Lizana. She was a volunteer fireman and medic for Lizana Fire and Rescue for over 30 years. She worked for the Harrison County School System at Lizana School. She was very active in her community and was always there for her family and friends. She loved life, and her family was the most important thing her life. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and taking photographs. Her first and only grandbaby was her pride and joy, and she will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raldo and Viella Ladner; brother, Ralph Joseph Ladner; and an infant child.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John """"Dale"""" Summers of Lizana; daughter, Kristin Nicole Summers Necaise of Lizana and her husband, Brandon; grandbaby, Krista Lynn Necaise; sisters, Brenda Wagnon of Lizana and her husband Sandy, Linda McDaniel of Lizana and her husband John; many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North, where friends may call from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
