Kathleen Cox

Kathleen Cox, 78 of Gulfport, MS passed away on December 26, 2024 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 6, 1946 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Charles & Rosemary Baker. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Cox; sister, Susan Tabony; and nephew, Scott Tabony.

Kathleen grew up in Hartford, Connecticut and with her father in military they traveled all over the world. Later, her father was stationed at Keesler Airforce Base, and retired. This is where Kathleen and the family made their home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 50 years. Kathleen enjoyed her family and being with them. Being in the outdoors and going fishing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend to so many. Kathleen had a heart of gold and worked as a caretaker for many years. She was born and raised Catholic. Her legacy lives on in all of us, and her spirit will always fill our hearts. Kathleen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathleen is survived by her loving sons, Jason (Maranda) Jeffcoat, and David (April) Clinely; nephews, Barry Tabony, Chuck Tabony, and Kenneth Tabony. Kathleen also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of friends and extended family.

Per Kathleen’s request, there will be no funeral services. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport is assisting the family.
