Kathleen Atwood

Kathleen O. Atwood, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dewey E. Atwood.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Colleen M. Hughes, and John C. Atwood (Cynthis); her grandchildren, Destiny M. Gonzalez (Angel), Glen P. Hughes, Theresa Atwood, and Daniel Atwood.

Kathleen was a native of Belfast North Ireland and a resident of Gulfport. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball, she attended St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport, and participated in the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.

We find comfort knowing hat she was greeted on her arrival to eternal salvation by her husband of 53 years.

Dear Lord, grant us strength in our sorrow, and comfort in the time we had with our loved one. Mourning passes and life goes on, different, yet still sweet. We will honor the memories and find joy in the knowing that Your eternal care is ever closer to the one we love. Amen.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-5:30pm, Tuesday, May 31,2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, service will follow at 5:30pm.
