Katherine C. Stokes, 94, a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past sixty four years, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in Biloxi, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Stokes. She is survived by her three children, Sandra Smith (Robert), Martha Ann Stokes (Jerry), and Jimmy Stokes (Donna); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gulfport where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also taught kindergarten at the First Presbyterian Church in Gulfport, and volunteered until her health declined.
Visitation will be Friday, October 8, 2010 from 5 - 7 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 9:30 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, or the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or the American Heart Association.
