Katherine Francis Foretich Rahrer, age 90, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday morning, January 21, 2015. Although, she was living in Clinton, S.C., she was a Gulf Coast resident who re-located to S.C. when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in 2005.
Mrs. Rahrer was born on July 15, 1924, in Biloxi, MS.
She is predeceased by her husband, John Jeremiah Rahrer Sr; her parents, Charles Joseph Foretich and Mae McCleland Foretich; brothers, Gerald Foretich, Capt. John Foretich, A.J. ""Pat"" Foretich, Billy Carroll Foretich; half-brother, Charles Foretich; and sisters, Mignonette Foretich Rippy, Eunice Foretich Meadows, Alice Foretich Laird, and Rosemary Foretich Rice.
She is survived by her sons, John Rahrer Jr., Bruce Rahrer, Christopher Rahrer; a daughter, Rebekah Rahrer Ladnier; and sister-in-law Doris Rahrer Estep of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and sister-in-law and dearest friend, Mary Foretich of Gulfport. Surviving also are 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rahrer was retired from the federal government where she worked as a FTS Operator and was a member of Berachah Church in Houston, TX. She loved music, studying history, genealogy, ships of any kind, and the Gulf Coast.
Visitation is Monday, 9:00 to 10:45 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi with graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery immediately to follow at 11 AM.
