Karen McGinty Lewis, age 35, resident of Gulfport, died, Thursday, January 10, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Portsmith, VA and a coast resident since she was 2 years old. She was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church and was a former surgical technician at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport and Hancock Medical Center. She was an avid Seawolves fan were she's been a season ticket holder since the inaugural season in 1996. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed scrapbooking, arts and crafts, her salt water aquariums and was an animal lover.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert L. Braun; grandmother, Leslie K. Brown, grandparents, Hazel B. and Frederick McGinty; brother, Kevin Thomas McGinty and great grandmother, Ora L. Knapp. She is survived by father, Raymond T. McGinty of Chesapeake, VA; mother, Vivian """"Billie"""" Stegbauer of Gulfport; children, Robert Lewis, of Gulfport, Bradley Lewis of Gulfport, and Deanna Tuttle of Newago, MI; sisters, Christine M. Villamor and husband Christopher of Chesapeake, VA, Kelli M. Summers and husband Robert of Bartlett, TN; brother, Robert B. McGinty and wife Tina of Gulfport.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2008, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMIY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
