June Murphy """"Mary"""" Bennett, age 69, resident of Woolmarket, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Bennett, a native of Harrison County, attended school in the Success community and community college in Perkinston. She was a waitress most of her life, working at Catfish Charlie and the Holiday Inn in Gulfport. She loved spending time in her yard watching the birds.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nora Murphy; brother, Tom Murphy; sister, Bobbie Johnson; and a nephew, Mike Murphy.
She is survived by her children, Curtis Bennett, Jackie Bennett and his wife Suzette, Kim Stockstill and her husband Bill, Sue Ewing and her husband Jae, Melissa Plant and her husband Clint, and Tara Bennett; her twin sister, Margaret Ladner; grandchildren, Bryan and Matt Bennett, Jordan and Bayley Bennett, Kalen and Jada Nolf, Courtney and Cody Stockstill, Ashton Bennett, Justin and Jeremy Ewing, and Logan and Lynsey Plant; great grandchildren, Keeleigh and Raegan Stockstill.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, where friends may call from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008, at 10 am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Poplarhead Cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
