Julius Sartin

Julius "Jim" Major Sartin, age 75, of Waveland, MS, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at Oschner Health Center in Covington after a brief illness.
He was born on September 6, 1943, in Gulfport, MS to Walter M. and Alice Sartin. He was the oldest of three boys and graduated from Lumberton High School. He was a wonderful, kind, and selfless man who loved his children, grandchildren, and family very much. He retired at age 55 with 30+ years employment with Shell Oil. After retirement, he continued to work for another 23 years as a contractor in the oil field business at a job he loved. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anne Lauderdale Sartin; son, Scot Daniel Sartin; and brother, Thomas "Tom" Sartin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Patricia "Pat" Sartin; his beloved children and their spouses, Kris and Valerie Sartin, Kim and Jeff Holloway, Robin and Ritchie Morton, and Stacey and Bryhn Craft; brother, Dan Sartin and his wife, Janice; sister-in-law's Gail Sartin and Sue Lauderdale; and eight grandchildren, Scot, Jason, and MaKenzie Sartin, Tyler, Anna, and Blake Morton, Clay and Carson Craft; and two nephews, Tommy and Timmy Sartin.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, April, 17, 2019 at 11 a.m., with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 10 a.m., both at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS 39560. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS.
