Julie """"Diann"""" Smith, age 47 and a resident of Long Beach, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 10, 2009, in Long Beach.
Diann was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast and attended Bel-Aire Baptist Church in Gulfport. She was a 1997 graduate of MGCCC-JD Campus, Nursing Program, and had been employed with Ochsner's in New Orleans as a registered nurse.
Diann never met a stranger, dedicated her life to helping others, and enjoyed spending time on the beach.
Diann is preceded in death by her father, Larry Frank Justice; her sister, Judy Darnell, and her aunt, Billie Beasley.
She is survived by her husband, John Smith of Long Beach; her children, Jeremy Dimsdale of Charlotte, NC and Julie Dimsdale of Long Beach; her mother, Sylvia (Cecil) Willis of Ocean Springs; her stepmother, Robin J. Dennis of Ocean Springs; her brothers, Clay (Debbie) Justice of Gulfport, and Anthony Justice of Los Angeles, CA; her grandson, Lukas Nelson of Long Beach, and many other loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
