Julie Wescovich Grandy, a native of Biloxi and resident of Ocean Springs, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72.
She is preceded in death by her, parents, James D. and Ruby (McQueen) Wescovich; and her lifetime partner, David “Smitty” Smith.
Julie is survived by her two daughters, Tina M. Poulos (Gary Foutz), and Tonya Grandy (Rick George); her brother, Wayne D. Wescovich; her only grandchild, Carrie R. Barfield; and a host of relatives and dear friends.
Julie attended Biloxi High School and was in the banking industry. After her retirement, she spent time doing the things she enjoyed most, listening to music, going dancing, and gathering with close friends. Most of all, she loved her girls.
A visitation for friends will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with a short service at 6:00 p.m. all held at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County. A private interment will be held on Thursday in Southern Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are preferred.
