Judy Veltman

Judy Spence Veltman, age 75, of Pass Christian, passed away on September 3, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Frances Spence; and a sister, Annette Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Patrick "Pat" Veltman; her children, Molly Frost (Christopher), Amy Loar (Phillip), Patrick Veltman, Jr. (Elizabeth), Mike Veltman, and Tim Veltman (Heidi); 2 sisters, Carol Laird, and Sue Bishop; a brother, Louis Spence; 11 grandchildren, Ginny, Joy, Karen, Graydon, Erin, Meaghan, Patrick, III, Mason, Madi, Katie, and Ally; and other relatives and friends.
She was born in Union, MS, was raised in Beulah Hubbard, MS where she was the valedictorian of her graduating class and was the captain of the girls' basketball team.  She had been a resident of the coast for many years.  She and her husband lived in Jackson, Chicago, Greenville, South Carolina, and Chattanooga where they made lifelong friends. She was the true matriarch of the family always organizing special times with the family especially their time at the beach in North Carolina.  Mrs. Veltman was an excellent cook and was known for her rum cake, red beans and rice, and dinner rolls.  She was a member of Pass Christian Isles Golf Club where she was involved with the "9 Holers", the "Mama Mia" Club.  She was also involved with the Timber Ridge Property Owners Association where she served as the Sunshine Lady.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 11 am - 12 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, Pass Christian.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm in the church.
