Judy Victoria Brown

Judy Victoria (nee Mills) Brown, born on March 16, 1939, in Clara, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, in Biloxi, Mississippi, surrounded by her loving family. She lived a remarkable life, filled with love and cherished moments that she shared with those around her.

Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry J. Brown, and her son, Johnny L. Smith. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin A. Mills and Ella Mae Mills, as well as her sister, Ella Vanon Stevens. The loss of these dear family members shaped the resilient spirit that Judy exhibited throughout her life.

Judy is survived by her caring daughter, Vickie (Jay) Murphy, who stood by her side through every season of life. She also leaves behind her son, Richard A. Smith. Judy was a treasured grandmother to her grandchildren, Scott (Mette) McCool, Douglas (Sheria) McCool, Emily (Alex) Jones, Adam Roberts, Kelly (William) Smith-Nash, Matthew Smith, and Chad Smith. Each grandchild holds special memories of their time with her, reflecting the love that she poured into her family.  Also survived by her nine great-grandchildren Alia, Liam, Agnes, Daniel, Avery Claire, Byrnn, Abby Grace and Ryder.  

In addition to her immediate family, Judy is survived by her brothers, Arthur Mills, Johnny Mills, and Paul Mills, with whom she shared a bond that transcended time.  As well as several, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. 

Judy will be remembered for her warmth and the joy she found in spending time with her family. Her legacy of love and connection will be carried on by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial Gathering in honor of Judy Victoria Brown will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi, MS 39531.
