Judith Gail Palmer Watts, age 68, a loving mother, and wife, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2011.
Judy was born in Evansville, IN, and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. While in Kentucky, she was very active with the UK Alumni Association, sitting on the national board of directors.
Judy's career as a social worker with the state of Kentucky, The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Gulfport, and at Memorial Hospital Gulfport, filled a need and willingness to help others who were in unfortunate circumstances. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her and loved her.
Judy is survived by her husband of 13 years, Paul Watts; her children, Pam Park of Lexington, KY, and Kevin Park of Chicago, IL; and a brother, Bill Palmer and his wife Carole, of Lexington, KY.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
Funeral services and burial will take place in Lexington, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, at stjude.org.
