Judith Enscoe Olsen, a cherished minister and beloved member of her community, passed away on November 11, 2024, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Born on September 14, 1939, in Port Washington, New York, Judith dedicated her life to serving others through her impactful ministry with the United Methodist Church in the Virginia Conference.

Judith was a trailblazing woman, having earned her Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in the 1980s. Throughout her career, she served various Methodist Churches across Virginia, where her compassionate nature and commitment to helping others left a lasting impression on many lives. She derived great satisfaction from personal interactions and was known for her exceptional listening skills. Judith had a keen intellect and was an avid reader of mysteries, a passion that provided her joy and relaxation amidst her busy life.

Despite being an introvert at heart, Judith possessed a vibrant personality that shone brightly in her love for life and dance. She appreciated the quiet beauty of the South, finding solace particularly in her time spent close to her sister, Sarah "Sally" Olsen.

Judith is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, John Alm Olsen, her children Brett Carlson, Leslie Carlson Vaughan, and Sarah Carlson, and her adoring siblings, Sarah "Sally" Olsen and Stuart Enscoe. She was also a proud grandmother to seven cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Judith was preceded in death by her first husband, John Carlson, who holds a special place in the memories of those who knew them together. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched through her unwavering dedication and kindness.
