Mrs. Judith Andersen Marsh, age 62, of Madison, passed away on December 4, 2011, in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. Marsh was born in Chicago, IL to Frank C. and Helen Hult Andersen, and was educated in Alexandria, VA. She received her Batchelor Degree from George Madison University in Virginia and her Masters of Education from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She taught elementary school in Virginia, Mississippi, and Texas. She was a lifelong Lutheran and member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Jackson, MS. She was a Dosan at the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, a mentor to children at McLeod Elementary in Jackson, and she served on the Vestry at Ascension Lutheran Church. Before Hurricane Katrina, Mrs. Marsh was a resident of Long Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, David M. Andersen.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Cynthia Andersen from Hammond, LA; nieces and nephew, Leigh Peak (Hunter) of Auburn, AL, David Matthew Andersen (Kris) of Batavia, NY, and Amee Andersen of Slidell; her cousin, Donald Handberg of VA; and her dear friends, Patty Clark and Cy Williams of Jackson.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 6481 Old Canton Road, Jackson, MS 39211, at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior to services.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian, MS.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Bob Wilkerson and staff for their care and compassion during her illness.
