Juanice Freeman

Juanice Rhodes Talbott Freeman, age 89, passed away on January 15, 2019. She was born in Lauderdale County, MS and was a long time resident of Gulfport. She was a graduate of Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, MS and the University of Southern Miss. She taught school at Beula Hubbard in Newton County, MS of which her father L.N. Rhodes was the principle. She then came to Gulfport and taught at Bayou View Elementary and Pass Road Elementary. She retired after 34 years. She was also a member of Hansboro Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband J.D. Talbott; second husband, Aaron Freeman; her parents, L.N. and Effie Rhodes; sister, Jarie Bassett Anderson; and one nephew.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Talbott (Gary Beach); one grandson, Michael DeAngelo (Stephanie); three great-grandchildren, Logan DeAngelo, Xavier DeAngelo, Atreyu DeAngelo; brother, Dr. L.N. Rhodes (Charlotte); sister, Marie Tramel; one niece; and two nephews.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Deaconess Hospice for their special care and support.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be held at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 24 Liberty Road, Little Rock, MS 39337.
