Joycell Cox

Joycell P. (Johnson) Cox of Long Beach passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012.
Joycell was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne C. Powell and Cleo Dennis Powell; son, Richard Jerry Johnson; two grand-daughters, Michael Christelle Rothe and Tonya Marie Cook, and her former husband Richard M. Johnson, Jr.
Joycell is survived by five children, Jennifer (Pat) Kling of North Carolina, Richard W. Johnson of Texas, William J. (Donna) Johnson of Texas, Marcia K. (Bruce) Goren of Florida, and Eva M. Stephens of Gulfport; eleven grand-children, Patrick, Cody, Rochelle, Darcee, Crystal, Stephen, Bruce, William, Richard, Aaron, and Sara; seven great grand-children, Luis, Julian, Skylar, Kaelynn, Christian, Nolan and Parker; and her beloved cats Cleopatra and Precious.
Joycell was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a self taught artist, had a great love for music and was loved by all who knew her.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME on Commission Rd, Long Beach. Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 in the funeral home chapel followed by a burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
